Effective Ways to Stop snoring


Snoring is a common disorder that has occurred. This is usually very disturbing, especially in people who already have a partner. How do I stop snoring? Snoring is very common in society, which affects 40 percent of men and 25 percent female.

Snoring is usually a sound hoarse, hissing, grunting when breathing during sleep. The most vulnerable elderly people snore. About a third of people aged 55-84 years experienced snoring disorders. As quoted from HowStuffWorks.

Here's How to Stop snoring:
  1. Sleeping sideways
    People will tend to snore when sleeping supine (head facing up), while sleeping on his stomach (head facing down) would make tortured neck and breathing during sleep. Try to sleep sideways to stop snoring.
  2. Reduce weight
    Being overweight, especially in the neck, will put pressure on Respiratory system, causing partial reduction and snoring during sleep.
  3. Immediately Treat Allergies
    Chronic respiratory allergies may cause snoring by forcing sufferers to breathe through the mouth during sleep. Taking an antihistamine before bedtime can help.
  4. Using Mouth freshener
    Physician or dentist may prescribe an anti-snoring mouth freshener that can clean your mouth while keeping the lower jaw muscles become more lax.
  5. Stop Smoking
    Smoking can harm the respiratory system that can ultimately make people snore.
  6. Sleep regularly
    Sufficient sleep and regular sleep and wake up to stop the habit of snoring.
  7. Elevate head
    Sleeping with the head elevated may be releasing some pressure on the respiratory system, so that breathing feels easier. Raise the head of the bed by placing wooden blocks under the bed or prop your upper body with pillows (not just the head, because it can actually inhibit breathing).
  8. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant and snoring
    Sometimes, some pregnant women snore. Snoring may occur due to increased body weight and hormonal changes of pregnancy cause the muscles to relax. Whatever the cause, snoring during pregnancy can reduce the ration of oxygen to the baby. Immediately consult a doctor when experiencing this.
