The Risk Of Crossing The Road

The majority of people will take at least one journey on foot each day, whether it's travelling to work, popping to the shops or going to the pub to meet some friends for a drink. Although we tend not to think about it due to the number of walking journeys that we take, as a pedestrian you can be at risk of an accident because of the environment surrounding you.

One of the most common ways that pedestrians face injury whilst in transit is crossing the road; over 20,000 people are killed or seriously hurt every year in this way. This can happen in the road itself, or sometimes lapses in focus can even cause drivers to mount the pavement and strike a passer by.
